ENGINE MAINTENANCE

the"EngineIPatmctionBook'. Befereyoustart
the engine,readthisbook.
WARNING: Before you make an
A Inspection, adjustment (except
carburetor), or repsir, stop the
engine and disconnect the wire
from the spark plug.
HOW TO CLEAN
THE MOWER HOUSING
WARNING: The blade will rotate
A when the engine runs. Before
you clean the mower housing,
stop the engine and disconnect
the wire from the spark plug.
Grassand otherdsbdscan keep the mower
_'om workingcorrectly.After you mow, clean
the mower housingasfollows,
1. Stopthe engine,
2, Disconnectthe wirefromthe sparkplug.
3, Cleanthetopandthebottomef themower
housing.
LUBRICATION
1. Formaximumperformance,lubdcatethe
wheelsand all pivotpointswithengineoil
every25 hours.
2. To lubricatethe engine,referto the =En-
gine InstructionBook'.
NOTE: Do not lubdcste the engine mp
cable. Lubricants will damage the cable
and preventthe cable from moving freely.
Replace the cable If bent or damaged.
HOW TO ADJUST
THE HEIGHT OF CUT
WARNING: The blade will rotate
A when the engine runs. BMom
yOU change the hsight of cut,
stop the engine and disconnect
the wire from the spark plug.
To change the height of cut, move the position
ofthe adjuster ann at asch wheel (Rgure 19).
Make sure each adjuster arm Is in the same
position so that the mower will cut level.
1. Disengage the adjuster arm,
2, Move the adjuster ran1 to another posl-
iton.
