c) in general, the accumulation and recuperation of mechanical energy in the Muscles and
Tissues is higher than subcutaneous superficial tissues.
1.3.5 Limitations
The Device cannot measure:
Muscle groups;
Thin Muscles (< 3mm);
Muscles with small mass (< 20 g);
Un-palpable Muscles;
Deep Muscles located under layers of other Muscles;
Tissues that are not categorised as soft biological tissue.
Objective measurement results may be difficult to achieve if:
the Muscle is measured at its maximum or minimum length;
visual / light palpatory test of the Muscle to be measured is impossible due to thick
subcutaneous fat layer;
the Subject’s body position constrains complete relaxation or it is difficult to achieve the
stability of the Muscle’s relaxed state;
the hand of the Operator which holds the Device is not well supported and trembles;
unsupported

thin Muscles or Muscles with a low level of stiffness are being measured.

In special cases of measurement (e.g. measuring the cheek or tongue Muscles in the mouth cavity), it may be necessary
to support the Tissue being measured and/or reduce the force of the mechanical impulse, thereby guaranteeing a stable
position of the Tissue for the objective recording of its natural oscillation. In case of need please contact the
manufacturer.
