3.2 Preparations for use
This chapter describes the procedure for the application of the Device.
Firstly the software has to be installed. While installing the Software, follow the installation
instructions displayed on the screen. The Software is compatible with Windows XP and later
versions of Windows operating systems. The Software is not freeware and the downloading
and use thereof is only permitted for the institutions, companies or individuals who have
bought or rented the Device.
The Device is used with Software

versions:
1. MyotonPRO (ver 0.0.3 or newer) for human medicine related applications;
or
2. MyotonVET (ver 0.0.3 or newer) for veterinary medicine.

The basic functions of the Software are:

3.2.1 Charging the battery
The Device is provided with an internal Lithium Polymer battery (see Appendix 3), which at the
time of delivery has been charged to approx. 40%. Before using the Device you must fully
charge the battery. The charging time for an empty battery is up to 5 hours.
If the battery voltage is < 10% (< 3.6 V), charge it before performing the measurements to at
least 10% of capacity. The maximum voltage of a fully charged (100%) battery is 4.2 V. The
battery level of charging (percentage) can be seen on the main screen of the Device.
There are 2 methods by which to charge the battery:
a) with a USB cable from the computer,
b) from the mains power supply with an adapter.
