CONDITION POSSIBLE CAUSES POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
No sound.
Power AC lead unplugged or power not
switched ON.
•
Check if AC lead is plugged in and power
switched ON.
•
Tape Monitor selected.
•
De-select Tape Monitor mode.
•
Mute on.
•
Switch o Mute.
•
No sound one channel. Balance control not centered.
•
Center Balance control.
•
RCA lead to power amplier not properly
connected or damaged.
•
Check leads and connections.
•
Input lead disconnected or damaged.
•
Check leads and connections.
•
No sound from Subwoofer. Subwoofer is o, not powered or improperly
connected.
•
Power-up subwoofer, check subwoofer’s AC
outlet or check connections.
•
Remote control handset not working. Battery at or incorrectly inserted.
•
Check or replace battery.
•
IR transmitter or receiver windows obstructed.
•
Remove obstruction.
•
IR receiver in direct sun or very bright ambient
light.
•
Place unit away from direct sun, reduce
amount of ambient light.
•
PHONO section problems only. No signal.
•
Check if MC-MM switch is set to the correct
input.
•
Hum on phono input.
•
Check if phono earth lead is connected to
the PHONO GROUND connector.
•
Weak or distorted signal.
•
Check if the turntable is connected to the
correct C 165BEE MM or MC phono input.
