In case you simply cannot wait to experience the performance of your new NAD C 565BEE, we provide the following “Quick Start” instructions to get you underway.
IDENTIFICATION OF CONTROLS 14 FRANÇAIS 13 ENGLISH FRONT PANEL 7 8 9 10 11 12 1 STANDBY BUTTON: Press this button to switch ON the C 565BEE. The Standby LED indicator will turn from amber to blue and illuminate the Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD). Pressing the Standby button again turns the unit back to standby mode. 4 STOP/OPEN: This dual-function button alternates between stopping playback and opening/closing the disc tray. Press this button to open and close the disc tray.
IDENTIFICATION OF CONTROLS FRONT PANEL ENGLISH FRANÇAIS 7 RANDOM: This button when pressed will engage or disengage random playback mode. When engaged (a corresponding “RANDOM” icon is illuminated in the VFD), random playback of tracks or files will begin by pressing [PLAY/PAUSE/SKIP] from STOP mode or rotating [PLAY/PAUSE/SKIP] during playback mode. Press [RANDOM] again to return to normal playback (“RANDOM” icon in the VFD is extinguished).

It is also advisable to power down or unplug all associated components while making or breaking any signal or AC power connections. DEUTSCH 4 DIGITAL OUT (COAXIAL, OPTICAL): The digital playback audio output signal is available at these ports.
IDENTIFICATION OF CONTROLS CD 9 REMOTE CONTROL ENGLISH ON: Switch ON C 565BEE. OFF: Switch OFF C 565BEE. CD: Select CD as the active source. USB: Select USB as the active source. OPT: Select optical input as the active source. SRC: Toggle to select desired SRC mode. RAND: Play tracks/files in random mode. RPT: Repeat track, file or whole disc. RPT A-B: Setup repeat sequence. FRANÇAIS FILTER: Select filter number. DISP: Show playback time and other display information. PROG: Enter or exit program mode.
OPERATION PROGRAMMING The program function enables you to store your favorite tracks from any disc in the player memory. When programming a sequence of tracks, the C 565BEE must be in STOP mode. Using the CD 9 remote control, enter your desired program sequence through the following steps 1 Press [PROG]. The display indicates “P00 T000”. The “000” in the “T000” keeps on blinking, meaning that the player is awaiting the first Program entry.
OPERATION USING THE C 565BEE – USB AND OPTICAL INPUT MODE ENGLISH USB MODE OPTICAL INPUT MODE The C 565BEE can play back MP3/WMA files stored in external USB (Universal Serial Bus) devices. The following are the C 565BEE’s capabilities with respect to USB device playability. The C 565BEE is equipped with an optical digital input. This makes it possible for other external digital sources to make use of C 565BEE as a top quality digital-to-analog converter.
OPERATION Most of the buttons on the remote control handset have the same effect as the corresponding buttons on the front panel of the player. In addition, the handset is equipped with some extra buttons like the following function keys. NUMERIC KEY PAD PROGRAM AND CLEAR Use [PROG] button to start, review, edit or exit programming mode. In combination with [PROG] button, the [CLEAR] button allows the deletion of a programmed track during program review or edit sequence.
