3-1 Adjusting the Level Adjusters When the game is in its final location position lower the level adjusters, with a spanner, so that the castors are raised from the floor by approx 5mm. Front of Machine Castor Lift the castors about 5mm above the floor.
4. HOW TO PLAY Gator Panic is designed for all players, from children to grown-ups. When the game starts, the alligators come out from the 5 holes at random. The object of the game is to hit the alligators while they are out. One point is scored each time an alligator is hit. The more hits, the more points achieved. If an alligator reaches the skull zone at the front, the player is considered to have been bitten by the alligator and a count is subtracted from the points scored.
5 ADJUSTMENTS Adjustment or maintenance on this machine should be carried out by qualified personnel only. 5-1 Adjustment Switches The Adjustment switches are located inside the coin door. 1. Service Switch. Press this switch to obtain game credits without incrementing the play meter and to change settings within a test. 2. Test Switch Slide the test switch ON to enter test mode. Test mode allows testing and the changing of game settings. (Refer to section 52 "Test Mode" page 38) 3. Enter Switch This switch is used to select a test.
5-2 Test Mode 1. Open the coin door and slide the test switch ON. 2. Pressing the Enter Switch will step through the tests. 3. Activate the test selected by pressing the Service Switch. 4. After testing is completed, slide the test switch to the OFF position to return to normal game mode. The Test Switch must always be in the OFF position for normal game mode. 5-2-1 I/O Test Test Item Description 1. Indication Test • The 7-segment LED indicates 0 to 9 repeatedly.

5-2-2 Game Adjustments 1. Open the coin door and slide the test switch ON while pressing the Enter button. (The game will only enter the Game Adjustment mode when it is in the Attract Mode.) 2. 6. MAINTENANCE Adjustment or maintenance on this machine should be carried out by qualified personnel only. Ensure that the POWER to the machine is turned OFF before commencing any maintenance work. 6-1 Cleaning the Alligators Do not use thinner or other organic solvents. Organic solvents may peel off the paint or deteriorate the material. The Alligators need frequent cleaning. Clean regularly. 1. Select the Test Mode. (see5-2 page 38) 2. Select the Input Test. 3. Draw out the five alligators by hand. (During the input test, the Alligator Lock Finger is released, allowing the movement of the alligators by hand. 4. Turn the power to the game OFF. 5.

6-3 Removing the Display Panel 1. Remove 3off security screw (M4x12) and remove the Top Retainer. 2. Slide the Display Panel upwards to remove. 3. Reassemble in reverse order.
6-4 Removing the Display Box Assy The Display Box Assy weighs approximately 30kg. Ensure that at least two (2) people are used to remove the Display Box Assy. 1. Remove 2off pozi head screws (M5x25), with flat washers, and remove the rear access door. 2. Disconnect two connectors from the score PCB and the one connector from the speaker. 3. Remove the 4off security screw (M8x50), with nylon washer, lift the Display Box Assy up and off.
6-5 Removing the Alligators 1. Remove the Display Box assy. (see 6-4 page 46) 2. Loosen the 2off Pozi head screws (M5x8) and remove the Slope. 3. Disconnect the Alligator Assy connector and pull the Alligator Assy up to remove it. 4. When refitting the Alligator Assy ensure that the pipe of the Alligator Assy fits between the two collars of the Drive Assy. 5.
6-6 Adjusting the Slope Height By adjusting the Slope height, the height of the Alligators upper mouth can be adjusted. Loosen 2off pozi head screws (M5x8) fixing the Rear Slope Bracket. Move the Slope Bracket up or down to adjust the height of the mouth so that the distance between the top of the Alligators teeth and the Playfield,when the Alligator is at its backmost position, is 47-55mm as shown below .
6-7 Replacing the Sensor PC Board Note: The PC Boards are sensitive to static electricity. Ensure anti-static procedures are followed when handling the PC Boards. 1. Remove the Alligator Assy. (See 6-5 page 47) 2. Remove the pozi head screw (M4x12), with countersunk washer, and remove the nylon cable clamp. 3. Remove the 4off pozi head screws (M5x20), with body stoppers and remove the Body. 4. Unsolder the wires from the Sensor Pc Board.
6-8 Removing the Playfield 1. Remove the Display Box Assy. (see 6-4 page 46) 2. Remove the Alligator Assemblies. (see 6-5 page 47) 3. Remove the 3off security screws (M5x25), with flat washers, retaining the Playfield. 4. Lift the front of the Playfield and draw out. 5. Reassemble in reverse order.
6-9 Replacing the Side Guard 1. Remove the Playfield (see 6-8 page 50) 2. Remove 2off hex head screws (M8x50), with flat and spring washers, and remove the Side Guard. 3. Reassemble in reverse order.
6-10 Removing the Drive Assy The PC Boards are sensitive to static electricity. Ensure anti-static procedures are followed when handling the PC Boards. When refitting the Alligator Assy ensure that the Assy is in the backmost position and the distance between the upper mouth and the field is 47-55mm. (see 6-6 page 48 for adjustment.) 1. Remove the Alligator Assemblies. (see 6-5 page 47) 2. Remove the Playfield (see 6-8 page 50) 3. Disconnect the connector of the Drive Assy. 4.
6-11 Replacing the Drive Sensor PC Boards 1. Remove the Drive Assy. (see 6-10 page 52) 2. Unsolder the wires from the Sensor Pc Board. (Note the positions of each wire so that they are refitted correctly on the new PC Board). 3. Remove 2off pozi flange screw (M3x6) and remove the Sensor PC Board. 4. Refit the new Sensor PC Board and resolder the wires. 5. Reassemble into the cabinet.
6-12 Replacing the Solenoid 1. Remove the Drive Assy. (see 6-10 page 52) 2. Unsolder the wires from the Solenoid. (Note the positions of each wire so that they are refitted correctly on the new Solenoid). 3. Remove the button head screw (M3x12) and nylon nut, 2off socket head screw (M2.6x5) and remove the Solenoid. 4. Refit the Solenoid with Diode attached, and reconnect the solenoid wires as shown below. 5. Refit the Drive Assy to the cabinet.
6-13 Replacing the Stepper Motor 1. Remove the Drive Assy (see 6-10 page 52). 2. Disconnect the connector of the stepper motor. 3. Remove the four cap screws (M4x16), with spring washers, and remove the stepper motor. 4. Loosen the 2off grub screws (M3x6) fastening the coupling onto the shaft of the stepper motor. Remove the coupling. 5. Refit the coupling onto the shaft of a new stepper motor. Note: When fastening the coupling, make sure that the shaft does not stick out from the recessed edge.
