2. HOW TO PLAY This is a shooting game for one or two players. Players explore an island, fighting against enemies in order to escape from the island. HOW TO CONTROL Sliding the gun backwards/forwards or left/right moves the character on the screen in a corresponding direction. 5-2 Fitting the Header Display Panel 1. Slide the Header Display Panel down into the Grooves in the Monitor Cabinet. Header Display Panel Groove 2. Fit 3off security screw (M4x15), with flat washer.
5-3 Adjusting the Level Adjusters 1. When the Monitor Cabinet is in it’s final installation position, lower the four (4) Level Adjusters with a spanner so that all castors are raised from the floor by approx 5mm. Tighten the lock nuts with a spanner to ensure that the Level Adjusters do not move. Monitor Cabinet Adjustable Foot Approx.

6-1 Adjustment Switches The Adjustment switches are located inside the coin door. 1. Service Switch. Press this switch to obtain game credits without incrementing the play meter. 2. Test Switch Slide the test switch ON to enter test mode. Test mode allows testing and the changing of game settings. (Refer to section 6-2 "Test Mode" page 41) 3. Select Up/Down Switch This switch is used to select the test required when in the Test Mode. 4.
6-2 Test Mode NOTE: When the machine returns to the Game Mode from the Test Mode, it receives a synchronization signal for approx. 30 seconds. If the machine is set for communication play, (2 player mode), ensure that both 1 and 2 player screens are set to Test Mode before making any adjustments. (If only one game PCB Test Mode is entered and exited, communication will not be established).
6-2-2 Coin Options 1. Select “COIN OPTIONS” on the menu screen to set the game cost and related settings. The following screen is displayed. 2. Use the Select Up/Down switch to choose the required item then press the Enter button. 3. Use the Select Up/Down switch to change the setting. 4. Press the Enter button to return to item select mode. 5. Select “EXIT” and press the Enter button to return to the menu screen. Note:- The price of play on this machine is set within the Cashflow Coin Mech.

7-1 Greasing the Gun Assy The Gun Assembly should be checked for correct operation daily. The gun Assembly should be re-greased every 6 months. 1. Remove 6off security screw (M6x16), 1off security screw (M6x16), with flat washer, and remove the Front Vac-Form. Security screw (M6x16) Flat washer Security screw (M6x16) Security screw (M6x16) Front Vac-Form 2. Apply grease to the areas shown below. Use silicon grease Part No. 95000018 3. Reassemble in reverse order.
7-2 Removing the Gun Assy 1. Remove 4off security screw (M6x20), with flat washer. Security screw (M6x20) Security screw (M6x20) Top Vac-Form Flat washer Security screw (M6x20) 2. Remove the Top Vac-Form by lifting it up and over the Gun Assy.
3. Remove 6off security screw (m6x16) and remove the Front Vac-Form. Security screw (M6x16) Security screw (M6x16) Front Vac-Form 4. Remove 40ff pozi head screw (M6x35) and remove the Gun Assy Cover.
5. Remove the 2off upper security screws (M6x20), slacken the 2off lower security screws (M6x20) and remove the Rear Access Panel. Security screw (M6x20) Rear Access Panel Security screw (M6x20) (loosen) 6. Remove 1off hex head screw (M8x35), with flat washer.
7. Disconnect the connector. 8. Remove 2off hex head screws (M8x25), with flat washers, and withdraw the Gun Assy while lifting up the Gun Assy Cover. Gun Assy Cover Hex head screw (M8x25) Flat washer Gun Assy Connector 9. Reassemble in reverse order. Note: After refitting the Gun Assy ensure that the Gun is reinitialized.
7-3 Gun Maintenance 7-3-1 1. Separating the Gun Remove 4off security screw (M4x16), 3off security screw (M4x20) and remove the Gun Case (R). Replacing the Bush Switch Separate the Gun (see 7-3-1 above) Bush Switch Retaining Nut Connector 2. Disconnect the connector. 3. Remove the retaining nut and withdraw the Bush Switch. 4. Reassemble in reverse order.
7-3-3 Replacing the Trigger switch 1. Separate the Gun. (see 7-3-1 page 61) 2. Disconnect the Fast-On terminals. 3. Remove the Trigger Switch by pulling it off the Locating Posts. 4. Reassemble in reverse order. Fast-on terminals Trigger switch Switch connections Trigger switch (Grey) (Brown) Note: When refitting the Trigger Switch ensure that the correct colour wire is reconnected to the correct terminal.
7-3-4 Replacing the Solenoid 1. Separate the Gun (see 7-3-1 page 61) 2. Remove 2off security screw (M4x16) and remove the Gun Cover (L). Gun cover (L) Security screw (M4x16) Solenoid 3. Disconnect the connector. 4. Remove 2off socket cap screw (M4x6), 2off pozi flange screw (M4x16) and remove the Solenoid, complete with Plunger and Slide Guide. 7-4 Replacing the Gun Potentiometers 7-4-1 Replacing the Pitch Potentiometer 1. Remove the Gun Assy. (see 7-2 page 57) 2. Disconnect the connectors. 3. Remove 1off pozi flange screw (M4x6) and disconnect the Earth Connector. Connector Earth connector 4. Cable clip Pozi flange screw (M4x6) Untwist the cable retainers.
5. Remove 2off countersunk pozi head screws (M4x5) and remove the Potentiometer Bracket complete with Potentiometer and Movement Bracket. Movement Bracket Pot Bracket Gun Assy bottom surface 6. Pitch Potentiometer Countersunk pozi head (M4x5) Slacken the Grub screw and remove the Movement Bracket. Grub screw Movement Bracket Wrench Pot Bracket Pitch Potentiometer 7. Replace the Potentiometer.
7-4-2 Replacing the Roll Potentiometer 1. Remove the Gun Assy. (see 7-2 page 57) 2. Untwist the cable retainers. Cable clip 3. Slacken the Grub screw and remove the Movement Bracket.
4. Replace the Potentiometer. Nut Spring washer Flat washer Potentiometer Bracket Roll Potentiometer pitch Potentiometer Flat on Potentiometer Shaft Red Grub screw Black Yellow Ensure that the correct colour wire is fitted to the correct terminal, and that the Grub screw engages on the flat of the Potentiometer shaft. 5. Reassemble in reverse order.
7-4-3 Replacing the Yaw Potentiometer 1. Remove the Gun Assy. (see 7-2 page 57) 2. Remove 1off pozi flange screw (M4x6) and remove the Potentiometer Bracket, complete with the Potentiometer, taking care not to lose the adaptor. 7-5 Replacing the Monitor 1. Remove the Monitor Cabinet rear Upper Panel. 2. Disconnect the Monitor Connectors. (2) Monitor Cabinet Upper Panel 3. Remove 2off security screw (m6x40) and remove the Lower Closing Bracket. 4. Remove 2off security screw (M6x20) and remove the Upper Closing Bracket. 5. Remove the Monitor Glass by tilting it forwards from the top and lifting clear.
6. Remove the 4off pozi head screws (M6x25), with flat and spring washers, and large flat washer. Pozi head screw (M6x25) with flat and spring washers Flat washer Monitor Pozi head screw (M6x25) with flat and spring washers 7. Remove the Monitor by tilting it forwards from the top and withdrawing from the front. 8. Reassemble in reverse order.
7-6 Replacing the Fluorescent Tube or Starter 1. Remove 4off security screw (M6x25). 2. Slacken the 4off pozi head screws ((M6x16) and remove the Header Acrylic Support. 4. Remove 4off pozi head screws (M6x16) and remove the Filter Base. Filter Base Pozi head screw (m6x16) Starter Pozi head screw (M6x16) 5. Replace the Starter. 6. Reassemble in reverse order.
7-7 Replacing the FCA PC Board 1. Separate the Gun Cabinet from the Monitor Cabinet. (see 5-1 page 35) 2. Disconnect the connectors on the FCA PC Board. 3. Remove 4off pozi flange screws (M5x12) and remove the FCA PC Board. Pozi flange screw (M5x12) Connectors FCA PC Board Gun Cabinet Connector Pozi flange screw (M5x12) 4. Reassemble in reverse order.
7-8 Replacing the NAOMI Board 1. Remove 10off pozi flange screws (M4x6) and remove the NAOMI panel. Pozi flange screw (M4x6) NAOMI Panel Pozi flange screw (M4x6) 2. Disconnect the 8 connectors from the NAOMI board. Note: The communication cables are fibre-optic cables. Do not bend excessively.
3. Remove 2off pozi head screws (M5x12) and withdraw the NAOMI base assy. 4. Remove 12off pozi flange screws (M4x6) and remove the NAOMI cover.
5. Remove 4off pozi flange screw (M4x6) and remove the NAOMI Assy. 7. Reassemble in reverse order. Note: Take care when reconnecting the communication cables. Ensure that they are connected as follows:Connect the end marked “R” or coloured Red to the right hand connector. Connect the end marked “T” or coloured Black to the left hand connector. The communication cable is a fibre-optic cable. Do not bend excessively.
