VersaPro Adhesive – Easy Installation
Step 1) Make sure your subfloor is flat and level. Check for protruding
objects like nails or un-even concrete to repair. Remove all dust and debris
by sweeping or mopping.
Step 2) After your subfloor is clean, apply a coat of water based sealant to
your subfloor. We recommend KILZ Premium.
Step 3) Once your subfloor is dry, choose a corner of the room to start in.
Peel back the release liner 1-2 inches exposing the adhesive and press it
down evenly across the subfloor.
Step 4)
a) Now that your roll is secured to the subfloor, place the backside of the
broom down on top of the release liner and push the roll forward,
allowing the roll to unwind as you go.
b) (OR) simply pull the adhesive roll out and use the broom to press the
tape down, insuring a strong bond to your subfloor
Step 5) When you reach the other end of your room, cut the liner and press
the remaining length down. Line up your next seam and repeat this process
until your entire area is covered.
Step 6) Once your entire area is covered, you are now ready to install your
flooring. Simply pull up the release liner to expose the adhesive and begin
your flooring installation.
IMPORTANT:
VersaPro Flooring Adhesive is a pressure sensitive adhesive, DO NOT walk
across the exposed adhesive when installing your floors, the pressure from
your footstep will cause your shoes to stick. ONLY install your floors in
small sections, peeling back the release liner as you go.
