This appliance comes equipped with a battery back-up. If this back-up is used, install 4AA batteries (not
supplied) into the holder and connect to the wire harness.
7.2.1 WIRING REQUIREMENTS
It is necessary to hard wire this appliance.
Permanently framing the appliance with an enclosure, requires the appliance junction box to be hard wired.
This appliance must be electrically connected and grounded in accordance with local codes. In the absence
of local codes, use the current CSA C22.1 Canadian electrical code in Canada or the ANSI/NFPA national
electrical code in the United States.
