6.2 DOOR GLASS REPLACEMENT
A. Lift the screen up into the appliance.
B. Lower the glass door down and unlatch. Swing
the glass door open.
C. Unscrew the top and bottom retainers inside
door frame. (FIG.1)
D. Remove glass from door frame. (FIG.2)
E. Center and apply gasket to the edge of glass.
Ensure gasket is a continuous loop around the
perimeter of the replacement glass. (FIG.3)

WARNING
DO NOT USE SUBSTITUTE MATERIALS.
GLASS MAY BE HOT, DO NOT TOUCH GLASS UNTIL COOLED.
CARE MUST BE TAKEN WHEN REMOVING AND DISPOSING OF ANY BROKEN DOOR GLASS OR
DAMAGED COMPONENTS. BE SURE TO VACUUM UP ANY BROKEN GLASS FROM INSIDE THE
APPLIANCE BEFORE OPERATION.
DO NOT STRIKE, SLAM OR SCRATCH GLASS. DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE WITH GLASS
REMOVED, CRACKED, BROKEN OR SCRATCHED.

Replacement glass/frame assembly shall be replaced as a complete unit as supplied by the
appliance manufacturer.
At the end of each burning season inspect the door gasket ensuring that it is not worn or loose. Replace with
proper fiberglass rope. The purpose of door gasketing is to seal the firebox. If the doors are not sealed, air leaks
into the firebox, creating a quick burning fire. Replace cracked or broken glass immediately. When reinstalling
the glass, be sure that the glass and gasket create a solid seal around door frame. Follow the instructions below
for glass removal. You may require a flat tool to gently press the gasket between the glass and the door.
