2. Double steel wall construction on five sides for
optimum heat retention and efficiency
3. Variable speed fan provides maximum comfort
and efficiency to help circulate room air
4. Cool room air drawn in
5. High heat resistant ceramic glass for ultimate
safety and heat transfer
6. Heated air is pushed into the room through an
efficient variable speed blower system
7. Heat exchanger for maximum heat output
featuring heavy gauge steel
8. Gas flue outlet exhausts combusted air
9. Fresh air intake - pictured above
10. Exhausted combustion air - pictured above
Direct vent technology
draws outside air for
combustion into the
firebox chamber then
exhausts through a
separate vent. Both
vents are installed into
your existing chimney.

Napoleon’s infrared burner system is designed with strategically positioned
burner ports to direct the fuel towards its burner, creating a red hot glow that
generates the infrared heat waves which then radiate from the fireplace to
surrounding cooler objects in the room. The built-in heat exchange system is
maximized by deflecting the exhausting flue gasses toward the glass for optimum
heat transfer into the room. These two systems alone are an effective source of
heat, eliminating the need for a blower for most rooms.
Napoleon’s Infrared (IR) Gas Inserts
Napoleon’s direct vent gas fireplace insert design employs a sealed combustion and
vent system. These and other innovations, allow Napoleon’s inserts to achieve some of
the highest efficiencies in the industry today. The direct vent draws its combustion air
from outside while venting to the same outside atmosphere - thereby not consuming
warm house air. Direct venting also eliminates drafts and heat loss common to
traditional wood burning fireplaces.
