(2) Content selector: Click the NI icon (on the left) to select factory content or the User icon (on
the right) to select user content instead. Only the files of the content selected here will be dis-
played in the result list (7). See section 6.2.2, Choosing Between Factory and User Content.
(3) Product selector: Click to open a drop-down menu where you can select a particular prod-
uct, product category, and sometimes the bank of the selected product. Again, only the files
matching your selection will be displayed in the result list (7). See section 6.2.3, Selecting or
Loading a Product and Selecting a Bank.
(4) TYPES filter: allows you to search for files based on Type and Subtype tags that have been
applied to them. You can collapse and expand this section by clicking on the little arrow next
to TYPES. See section 6.2.4, Filtering by Types and Modes.
(5) MODES filter (Instrument/Effect presets only): allows you to search for files based on Mode
tags that have been applied to them. You can collapse and expand this section by clicking on
the little arrow next to MODES. See section 6.2.4, Filtering by Types and Modes.
(6) Favorites: Clicking this button filters the search results by Favorites. The results list will
show all Favorites that match all currently entered search criteria. See section 6.2.7, Using
Favorites in the Library Pane.
(7) Result list: The result list displays all files that match your query, as specified via the vari-
ous tools above. See section 6.2.6, Using the Result List in the Library Pane.
(8) Control bar: At the bottom of the Browser, the control bar provides a few useful tools when
browsing and editing the KOMPLETE KONTROL Library:
(9) Search field: Enter any character string into the search field to limit the search results to
the files containing this string. See section 6.2.5, Performing a Text Search.
Click the Information button (showing a little “i”) near the EDIT button to display more infor-
mation on the selected file(s). See section 6.5.1, Displaying File Information.
Click the EDIT button at the far right of the bar to open the Attribute Editor and modify the
tags and properties assigned to the selected file(s). See section 6.5.2, Editing the File
Tags and Properties.
