To map the knobs and displays to instrument parameters again, press SHIFT + SCALE
once more. You can also press the BACK button in the NAVIGATE section. The scale en-
gine will still be switched on.
7.2.2 ARP Button Functions

To access the arpeggiator parameters for editing, press SHIFT + ARP.

The ARP parameters (see ↑7.7, Arp Parameters) are displayed and can be edited via the
knobs in the Control section.

To switch the arpeggiator on or off, press the ARP button so it lights up.

The settings of the ARP parameters are reflected by the Light Guide.

more. You can also press the BACK button in the NAVIGATE section. The arpeggiator will
still be switched on.
7.3 A Note about Music Theory
KOMPLETE KONTROL has built-in scales and harmonies that you can select to play your in-
struments with chords and arpeggios. To learn more about what that really means, continue

7.3.1 Scales
Traditionally music is built by combining elements of rhythm and harmony. There are many ex-
ceptions to this, but to understand the concepts of scales, chords and arpeggios let’s start
from there.
