7.5 Scale Parameters
You have the possibility to tailor the scales and chords to your liking using the Scale parame-
ters.

To edit the Scale parameters in the KOMPLETE KONTROL software, click on SCALE in
the Perform Panel so it is highlighted.

To edit the Scale parameters in the Control section of the KOMPLETE KONTROL S-SER-
IES keyboard, press SHIFT + SCALE.

The PAGE display in the keyboard’s Control section reads SCALE, indicating that you are
editing Scale parameters:
Available Scale Parameters
▪ To select the scale to be mapped to the keys of your keyboard and set its root note, use the
SCALE parameters Root Note and Type. For more information, see section ↑7.5.1, Scale.
▪ To define how the selected scale is mapped to the keys of your keyboard, use the
KEY MODE parameter. For more information, see section ↑7.5.2, Key Mode.
▪ To automatically generate custom chords while playing on your keyboard, use the CHORD
parameters Mode and Type. For more information, see sections ↑7.5.3, Chord Mode and
↑7.5.4, Chord Type.
