GettingStarted
Consultaphysicianbeforeyoustartanexerciseprogram.Stopexercisingifyoufeelpainortightnessinyourchest,
becomeshortofbreath,orfeelfaint.Contactyourdoctorbeforeyouusethemachineagain.Usethevaluescalculatedor
measuredbythemachine’scomputerforreferencepurposesonly.
Makesurethetreadmillisstableonaclean,hard,levelsurface,withasufficientclearworkoutarea.Arubbermatbelowthe
machineisrecommendedtopreventelectrostaticdischargeandprotectyourfloor.
Inspectthewalkingbelttomakesureitiscenteredandcorrectlyaligned.RefertotheMaintenancesectionofthismanualforthe
proceduretoalignthewalkingbelt.
Stretchyourmusclesbeforeyoustartyourworkout.
1.ConnectthePowerCordtoacorrectlygroundedACwalloutlet.
Putthepowercordalongthemachine,tokeepclearancefordismountsfromthemachine.
2.TurnthePowerSwitchonthefrontofthetreadmilltotheOnposition.ThedualLCDcomesonfullyfor3
secondsandtheconsolemakesa“beep”soundwhentheconsolegoesintoReadyMode.
Note:IftheSafetyKeyisnotintheSafetyKeyPort,theProgramDisplayshows“Safekey”andthedigital
displaysshow“––”.
3.AttachthemagneticSafetyKeytotheroundSafetyKeyPortatthebottomoftheConsole.Whenthe
SafetyKeyisintheSafetyKeyPort,theProgramDisplayshowsthemessage“Welcomeandthedigital
displaysshow“0” .TheconsoleisreadyforyoutogotoQuickStartModeorProgramSetupMode.
4.Whenyoustartthetreadmill,standwithbothfeetontheSideFootSupportRails.Startthetreadmillat
aslowspeedandcarefullysteponthewalkingbelt.Alwaysusethehandlebarstosteponoroffthe
treadmill,orwhenyouchangespeedorincline.
5.Walkslowlytowarmupandgraduallyincreasetheworkoutintensity.
QuickStart(ManualProgram)
1.AttachthemagneticSafetyKeytoyourclothing,andputthekeytotheSafetyKeyPort.Ifthekeypulls
outoftheSafetyKeyPort,thetreadmillturnsoffimmediatelyforyoursafety.
2.PushtheQuickStartkey.Theconsoledisplaycountsdownfor3secondsandthenstartstheManual
Programat0.5mph(0.8km/h).
3.Toincreasethespeed,pushtheSpeed(Up)key.EachtimeyoupresstheSpeedkeythespeedwill
increaseby0.1mph(or0.1km/h).Toreducethespeed,presstheSpeed(Down)key.Thereare4Preset
Speedkeyswhichyoucanpushatanytimeduringaworkout.ThePresetSpeedkeysarelabeled2,4,6
and8.Thismeansifyoupress2,thespeedadjuststo2mph(or2km/h).
4.Toincreasetheincline,pushtheIncline(Up)key.EachtimeyoupushtheInclinekey,theincline
increases1level.Toreducetheincline,presstheIncline(Down)key.Thereare4PresetInclinekeys
whichyoucanpushatanytimeduringaworkout.ThePresetInclinekeysarelabeled2%,4%,6%and8%.
5.ThetimecountsupfromzerofortheManualProgram.Themaximumtimeis99:59.
ProgramSetup
WhentheconsoleisinReadyMode,pushtheCOURSES/PROFILESkeytogototheProgramSelectionmenu.Usetheandkeys
tomovethroughthemenutofindaprogramoptionandpushtheENTER/RESETkeytorecordyourselection.
IfyouwanttosaveyourworkoutdataresultsinyourUserprofile,gotoyourUserprofilefirst,andthenoperatetheworkoutprogram.
Note:
TosetupaUserprofile,gotoaUSERoptionandrefertotheUserSetupsectionofthismanual.
AftereachstepinProgramSetup,youcanpushtheENTER/RESETkeytogotothenextdataitemforyourprogram,orpushthe
QUICKSTARTkeytogotoWorkoutMode.Theprogramwillusedefaultvaluesforsetupdatathatisnotspecified.
