7.3 Making a call
With the NAVIGON 81xx you can make a call in various ways:
Note: Play-back of the MP3 player and the navigation instructions are
muted during a call.
7.3.1 Dialling a telephone number
1. Tap on the HANDSFREE MODULE button in the Keyboard window.
2. Enter the desired telephone number.
3. Tap on the Dial a Number
button.
7.3.2 Dialling a Speed Call number to call home
You can configure 4 Speed Call buttons.
► Tap in the HANDSFREE MODULE window on the corresponding
Speed Call button.
Note: If no number has been entered for the Speed Call button selected
or if no Bluetooth connection has been established to a mobile phone,
the M
ODIFY PRESET window will open.
For more details refer to chapter "Preset" on page 55.
7.3.3 Calling a contact from the phone book
You can select numbers from the phone book of the mobile phone to
which the NAVIGON 81xx is connected.
1. In the H
ANDSFREE MODULE window, tap on Phone Book.
2. Tap on the contact you want to call.
If more than one phone number is saved for this contact, a list with
all the phone numbers saved for the contact will open.
3. Tap on the number you want to dial.
Note: The phone book is not copied permanently to the navigation
device. It is available to the hands-free module only for as long as it is
connected to the mobile phone.
7.3.4 Calling most recently dialled, received or missed numbers
Note: The R
ECENT CALLS list contains outgoing, incoming and
unanswered calls. Incoming and unanswered calls can be dialled only
if the caller's number was transmitted.
