Sezione 1 - Informazioni generali 1-1 Caratteristiche Congratulazioni per aver acquistato una radio VHF per banda marittima NAVMAN VHF 7000, 7100US, o 7100EU.
1-2 Personalizzazione della radio VHF NAVMAN Si può personalizzare la radio per adattarla alle proprie preferenze personali. Alcune preferenze si possono impostare direttamente mediante i tasti, come si spiega in questa sezione. Altre preferenze si impostano mediante i menù integrati e vengono spiegate nelle altre sezioni. 1-3 Come visualizzare i menù e navigarvi 1. Mantenere premuto MENU (o CALL/MENU). Si tenga presente che sullo schermo si possono visualizzare solo quattro voci di menù alla volta. 2.

Altrimenti, in bianco per funzionamento simplex. LOCAL Chiamata locale selezionata. Altrimenti, in bianco per chiamata sulla distanza. DSC È disponibile la funzionalità DSC.
1-6 Funzionamento basico e funzioni dei tasti Si elencano tutti i tasti possibili e le loro funzioni. Si tenga presente che alcuni tasti non sono disponibili; ciò dipende dal modello della radio VHF NAVMAN. Tasto Funzione VOL/PWR Volume e accensione. Girare in senso orario per accendere. Continuare a girare finché si ottiene un volume adatto. VOL/PWR regola anche le impostazioni di un altoparlante esterno, se collegato. SQL Regola il livello di soglia per il segnale minimo del ricevitore.
Se è attiva la modalità di allarme meteorologico (ALT) e viene trasmesso un segnale di allarme da 1050Hz da una stazione meteorologica, esso viene rilevato automaticamente e suona un allarme. Premere un tasto qualsiasi per ascoltare il messaggio meteorologico via voce. H/L Potenza di trasmissione. Alta (HI) 25W o bassa (LO) 1W. Premere per passare dalla potenza di trasmissione alta a quella bassa per l’intera gamma dei canali. La selezione HI o LO viene visualizzata sullo schermo a cristalli liquidi.
Mantenere premuto SCAN per accedere alla modalità ALL SCAN (esplora tutto), nella quale il canale prioritario viene esplorato ogni 1,5 secondi. Quando si riceve un segnale l’esplorazione si arresta e sullo schermo compare BUSY (occupato). Se il segnale s’interrompe per più di 5 secondi l’esplorazione riprende. Premere ENT per saltare provvisoriamente (escludere) un canale «sempre occupato» quando ci si trova in modalità ALL SCAN e riprendere l’esplorazione.

2-2 Mantenere una lista di contatti (BUDDY LIST) Solo VHF 7100US e VHF 7100EU. MENU SELECT >BUDDY LIST LOCAL/DIST BACKLIGHT Utilizzare la Lista Contatti per memorizzare i nomi e gli MMSID ad essi associati di 20 persone preferite. I nomi vengono memorizzati in ordine d’immissione e la voce più recente viene visualizzata per prima. Le sezioni seguenti mostrano come usare BUDDY LIST (LISTA CONTATTI) per aggiungere, modificare ed eliminare voci della lista dei contatti.

Premere di nuovo ENT per visualizzare l’elenco delle voci. Scorrere verso il basso fino alla voce che si desidera eliminare. 3. Selezionare DELETE (elimina). 4. Viene visualizzata una richiesta di conferma (ARE YOU SURE?: siete sicuri?). Selezionare YES per eliminare la voce e ritornare all’elenco delle voci o NO per mantenere la voce.
2-4-1 Regolazione del livello della luce di fondo BACKLIGHT LO HI 1. Selezionare BACKLIGHT. 2. Selezionare un livello di luce di fondo adeguato utilizzando + o - per modificare l’impostazione. 3. Premere ENT per rendere effettiva l’impostazione e ritornare al menù. Si tenga presente che la luce di fondo del tasto DISTRESS non si può spegnere. 2-4-2 Regolazione del livello del contrasto CONTRAST LO HI 1. Selezionare CONTRAST (contrasto) 2.
GPS/DATA MANUAL >SETTING GPS/DATA >TIME OFFSET TIME FORMAT TIME DISPLY TIME OFFSET >+01:30 02:30PM LOC 1. Selezionare GPS/DATA, quindi SETTING. 2. Selezionare TIME OFFSET per immettere la differenza tra l’UTC l’ora locale. Si possono utilizzare incrementi di mezz’ora con una variazione massima di ±13 ore. In questo esempio si è immessa una differenza di +1,5 ore e l’ora locale viene visualizzata con il suffisso LOC.
Tuttavia, se la posizione della nave viene aggiornata mediante un ricevitore di navigazione GPS, si può attivare o disattivare la visualizzazione oraria sullo schermo come segue: GPS/DATA TIME OFFSET TIME FORMAT >TIME DISPLY TIME DISPLY ON >OFF 1. Selezionare GPS/DATA, quindi SETTING. 2. Selezionare TIME DISPLAY. 3. Selezionare ON (attivato) o OFF (disattivato) come desiderato. In questo esempio si è selezionato OFF e quindi lo schermo non mostra più l’ora.
2-6 Simulatore GPS (simulator) Il simulatore GPS è impostato su OFF ogni volta che si accende la radio od ogniqualvolta siano disponibili dei dati GPS effettivi mediante la porta COM. Tuttavia può essere acceso se si desidera collaudarlo. MENU SELECT DSC SETUP RADIO SETUP >GPS SIM 1. Selezionare GPS SIM (simulatore GPS), quindi selezionare ON (attivato) o OFF (disattivato) come desiderato.
Sezione 3 - Menù di configurazione della radio 3-1 - Menù di configurazione della radio (RADIO SETUP) CH NAME Modifica o eliminazione dei nomi dei canali. Vedere la sezione 3-2. RING VOLUME Regolazione del livello del volume dei bip di notificazione di una chiamata entrante. Vedere la sezione 3-3. BEEP VOLUME Regolazione del livello del volume dei bip. Vedere la sezione 3-3. INT SPEAKER Vedere la sezione 3-4.
4. Premere ENT (se necessario ripetutamente) per visualizzare la conferma YES/NO. 5. Premere ENT per confermare la nuova etichetta denominativa del canale o la sua cancellazione, quindi premere ESC per ritornare al menù.
3-6 Allarme meteorologico (Wx ALERT) Solo VHF 7100USEU. La NOAA (National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, Amministrazione Oceanografica e Geografica Nazionale, USA) mette a disposizione diversi canali di previsioni meteorologiche sulle gamme di canali statunitensi e canadesi. Se si prevede tempo rigido come tempeste o uragani, la NOAA trasmette un allarme meteorologico sui 1050 Hz.
Sezione 4 - Menù di configurazione DSC (chiamata selettiva digitale) (DSC SETUP) Queste funzionalità DSC sono disponibili solo nel 7100US e nel 7100EU, e per accedere alle funzioni DSC bisogna immettere un MMSID utente valido. 4-1 Configurazione DSC - Opzioni di menù Sono disponibili le seguenti opzioni: USER MMSID Immissione dell’MMSID utente. Vedere la sezione 4.2 (se non si dispone di un MMSID utente vedere l’appendice D) GROUP SETUP Immissione o modifica del nome e/o dei dati di un gruppo.

Selezionare DELETE e premere ENT. La radio chiede conferma. 4.
1. Selezionare DSC SETUP, quindi ATIS MMSID. 2. Se è la prima volta che si immette l’MMSID ATIS, compare una linea tratteggiata. Inserire l’MMSID ATIS lungo la linea tratteggiata. Il primo numero è sempre 9. Premere ENT per confermare ogni immissione corretta e per passare alla cifra successiva. Se si fa uno sbaglio, premere - finché viene visualizzato <, quindi premere ENT per effettuare una copia di sicurezza e correggere l’immissione.
Sullo schermo ci sono due segnalatori che servono a mostrare la modalità corrente: se sullo schermo compare il segnalatore DSC, la DSC è operativa. Se compare il segnalatore ATIS, l’ATIS è operativo. Sezione 5 - Invio e ricezione di chiamate DSC Queste funzionalità DSC sono disponibili solo nel VHF 7100US e nel VHF 7100EU, e per accedere alle funzioni DSC bisogna aver immesso un MMSID utente valido. W5-1 COS’È LA DSC? DSC (Digital Selective Calling: Chiamata Selettiva Digitale) è un metodo semiautomatico per effettuare chiamate radio su VHF, MF e HF.

5-3-1 Ricezione di una chiamata a tutte le navi (ALL SHIPS) RCV: ALL SHIP priority VHF7100 ESC –> EXIT 1. Quando si riceve l’avviso di una chiamata a tutte le navi, premere un tasto qualsiasi per annullare l’allarme. La radio seleziona automaticamente CH16. Sullo schermo vengono visualizzati il livello di priorità e l’MMSID utente. Se la radio riconosce l’MMSID utente come quello di uno dei contatti, al posto dell’MMSID utente viene visualizzato il nome del contatto. 2.

Sezione 6 - Richieste di soccorso Questa funzionalità DSC è disponibile solo nei modelli 7100US e VHF 7100EU, e per accedervi bisogna aver immesso un MMSID utente valido. 6-1 Invio di una richiesta di soccorso DISTRESS CALL >PIRACY OVER BOARD EPRIB DISTRESS CALL >PIRACY HOLD DISTRESS 2 SECONDS.. 6-2 Ricezione di una richiesta di soccorso (DISTRESS!) RCV: DISTRESS 123456789 FLOODING ESC –> EXIT RCV: DISTRESS 10:34 UTC 82º50.003'N 27º45.543'W 1. Quando si riceve una richiesta di soccorso (DISTRESS!) suona un allarme. Per annullare l’allarme premere un tasto qualsiasi. Non c’è bisogno di inviare un segnale di ricevuto. 2. La radio seleziona automaticamente CH16 e mostra sullo schermo i dettagli della richiesta di soccorso. Premere PTT per stabilire contatto via voce.

Appendice B - Guida alla risoluzione dei problemi 1. Il ricetrasmettitore non si accende. Può darsi che sia saltato un fusibile OPPURE che non arrivi voltaggio al ricetrasmettitore. a) Controllare che nel cavo di alimentazione non siano presenti tagli, rotture o sezioni schiacciate. b) Dopo aver controllato il cablaggio sostituire il fusibile da 7 Amp (vengono forniti 2 fusibili di ricambio). c) Controllare il voltaggio della batteria. 2. Quando si accende, il ricetrasmettitore fa saltare il fusibile.

Appendice D - Informazioni sull’MMSID e la licenza Solo VHF 7100 Per poter utilizzare le funzionalità DSC bisogna ottenere un MMSID utente (Marine Mobile Service Identity: numero di identificazione servizio radiomobile marittimo) ed inserirlo nel 7100. Mettersi in contatto con le autorità competenti del proprio Paese. Se non si sa bene a chi rivolgersi, consultare il proprio rivenditore Navman. L’MMSID utente è un numero unico a nove cifre, simile a un numero di telefono personale.
