NOTE:
Two access panels are provided with the ADA-E kit; a narrow panel to be used with ETE-6-2 or
ETE-16-2 Multiline Terminals and a wide panel to be used with all other terminals. Ensure the correct
access panel is used.
4.14 Route the locally provided station wire (already connected to the ADA-E unit) through one of the two
notched grooves on the access panel. Install the access panel.
4.15 Slide the directory back into place, ifrequired.
4.16 Reinstall the handset and modular line cords onto the Multiline Terminal.
4.17 Inert the l/8 mini plug and the 3/32 micro plug intotheir respective tape recorder jacks (See Figure 2).
4.18 Plug the tape recorder into an AC power outlet; insert a tape cassette into the tape recorder and
depress the RECORD and PLAY buttons simultaneously.

TESTING
5.1 Establish a call using the handset. Speak in a normal voice and verify that the tape recorder is
activated. With the handset still off-hook, remove the
REMOTE
plug from its jack, rewind the tape
and verify that the recording took place (If the tape recorder is equipped with a recording level control
the level may have to be adjusted).
5.2 Reconnect the REMOTE plug and hang up the handset.
