5-1. Troubleshooting
Error message is displayed at boot
Refer to the user's manual of the CPU Blade for details of error messages.
If you feel the Mezzanine slot where this product is installed is the cause of the error, please check the
following items;
When Option ROM is not expanded,
→ Refer to the user's manual of the CPU Blade to disable the Option Rom.
When the error occurs in the Mezzanine slot where this product is installed,
- Please connect this product again.
Important
If the error message is displayed at boot even when all the above items are
confirmed, shut down the CPU Blade, connect the product to another Mezzanine
slot, reboot the CPU Blade, and perform the self-diagnostic program POST. If
POST ends normally, the CPU Blade may be defective. Please contact your retailer
or service center for repair.
This product does not work properly
If your operating system or applications do not operate correctly after installing this product, please
check the following items and refer to the user's manual of the CPU Blade.
Is the driver for the Fibre Channel Controller installed? Is the product installed in the CPU Blade
correctly?
- Please refer to the user's manual of the CPU Blade.
Are all Fibre Channel cables and power cords connected correctly?
- Please connect this product again.
Is the WWPN setting correct if you have connected this product to a Fibre Channel device which
uses WWPN?
- Confirm that the last 12 characters of the WWPN match the IEEE address.
Is the FC through card or FC switch module setting (FC link speed, topology, etc.) correct for the
connected FC device?
- Please refer to the user's manual of the FC through card or FC switch module.
Is the location of the Mezzanine slot and SFP module and the FC through card or the FC switch
module correct?
- Please refer to the user's manual of the CPU Blade and Blade Enclosure and FC through card or
FC switch module.
Important
If the CPU Blade does not work correctly even when all the above items are
confirmed, shut down the CPU Blade, disconnect the product, reboot the CPU
Blade, and perform the self-diagnostic program POST. If POST ends normally, this
product may be defective. Please contact your retailer or service center for repair.
