The server switch unit does not recognize the cascade connection. 
  Does the serve switch unit operate normally? 
  Press the reset switches on the server switch units to reset the units. Always press the 
reset switch of the master unit first then that of the slave unit. If the status remains 
unchanged, either or both of the server switch units may be defective. Contact your 
service representative to request the repair of the units. 
The server switch unit becomes inoperable suddenly while under regular operation. 
  Does the server switch unit operate normally? 
  Press the reset switch on the server switch unit to restart the unit. If the status remains 
unchanged, the server switch unit may be defective. Contact your service representative 
to request a repair of the unit. 
The server switch unit cannot enter into hot key mode (OSD does not appear). 
  Was a key pressed during OS startup? 
  Keys should not be pressed during OS startup. Reenter after OS has completed. 
  When a key is pressed during OS startup, the server selection switch on the console panel 
will be disabled. Press the reset switch to reset the server switch unit, then press the 
server selection switch once again. 
  Is the screen saver feature of the server connected to the server switch unit enabled? 
  Check the server selection lamp on the server switch unit. If it is blinking, press the 
<Esc> key and move the mouse to disable the screen saver. If it is not blinking, move 
the mouse to disable the screen saver. 
  Is the server connected to the server switch unit in sleep mode? 
  Cancel the sleep mode of the server. 
Cannot input the desired character from the keyboard. 
  Are any one of <Ctrl>, <Alt>, or <Shift> keys being pressed when the server selection 
switch was pressed? 
  Press any one of the <Ctrl>, <Alt>, or <Shift> keys, and reenter the desired character.
