Removing switch modules

Use the following procedure to remove a switch module. Switch modules can be removed even while the

Blade Enclosure is powered on.

The following example shows how to remove a single-wide GbE pass-through card.

1. Open the GbE pass-through card’s ejector

and unlock the card.

2. With the ejector opened, hold the GbE

pass-through card securely and pull it out

slowly.

CHECK:

 To use the enclosure after removing the

GbE pass-through card, re-install a blank

cover in the vacant slot.

 To use the enclosure after removing

a double-width switch module,

re-install a support stay before re-installing

blank covers.
