Switch modules
Switch modules are listed as shown in the figure below.
The installation location, switch module name, STATUS LED condition, ID LED condition,
installation status, and IP address for management of switch module are displayed from left to right.
Next to these items, buttons to link with management feature and to switch to detailed indication are
placed.
When you click the [HTTP] button, the Web page of management feature for the selected switch
module opens in separate window.
When you click the [telnet] link, the command line console for the selected switch module opens in
separate window.
CHECK:
The [HTTP] button is not displayed if the management LAN interface of the switch module
does not support the web feature. In addition, if the telnet feature is not supported, clicking the
telnet link only opens another window. The command line console for the switch module is
not displayed.
For more information about management feature of the switch module, refer to the Users Guide
of the switch module.
The telnet link feature may be disabled depending on the OS of management console or
configuration of Web browser. With Internet Explorer Ver. 6 of Windows XP and Mozilla
FireFox 2.0, it is confirmed that the telnet feature is available by the default setting.
When you click the [Detail] button, detailed information of the specified switch module. The detailed
information display on the switch module will be described later in this chapter.
IMPORTANT:
When the installed switch module occupies two slots, the slot to the right of the installed slot is
indicated as Not Installed.
