TIPS:
The following is the default configuration of the IP addresses.
Active EM “Floating IP”: 192.168.1.8/24
Standby EM “Floating IP”: 192.168.1.9/24
EM‟s “Static IP” in Slot #1: 192.168.1.10/24
EM‟s “Static IP” in Slot #2: 192.168.1.11/24
CHECK:
Is the last digit of the “EM card IP address” is a multiple of four?
If it is not set as such, registering EM card to the DianaScope Manager is unavailable.
4. DHCP support:
This specifies whether or not to use the IP address support function to the CPU blade and the
switch module. Default is “enable”.
TIPS:
Even if ;you specify DHCP support as “disable”, “DHCP base address” and “NTP server IP address”,
both described later, remain on the configuration. This affects nothing on the performance if you
decided not to use the DHCP function, as those values will not be referred.
5. EM Card DHCP base IP address:
This specifies the base address for EM card‟s DHCP function in order to assign the CPU blade‟s
and the switch module‟s IP address. (Subnet mask value is use the one specified for “EM Card
netmask”)
6. EM Card DHCP NTP server IP address:
Specify this when you wish to distribute the outside NTP server‟s IP address with DHCP function
of the EM card along with distributing the IP addresses for the CPU blade and the switch module.
