Backup of EM Configuration File
Creates a backup file of EM configuration file in the USB memory connected to the USB port of the
Blade Enclosure.
Selecting [6: Backup CONFIG] on [EM CONFIG] menu starts backup process.
If the old backup file exists in USB memory, the confirmation message as shown below appears.
Press [→] or [←] button to move cursor horizontally to switch selection between “Y” and “N”.
To execute backup by overwriting the current configuration, put the cursor on “Y” and press the
[Enter] button.
To cancel backup, put the cursor on “N” and press the [Enter] button. The screen goes back to [EM
CONFIG] menu without changing the setting.
The following screen is displayed while backup is being executed.
Upon completion of backup, the LCD displays the results.
When backup completed successfully:
When backup failed:
The following message is displayed if the USB memory is not installed.
Install the USB memory in the USB port of the Blade Enclosure.
The following message is displayed when the USB memory is installed but not connected with the
EM card.
Select “E” in [DVD] field on KVM/DVD Select menu.
TIPS:
If you press any button while the results or the error message is being displayed, the screen goes
back to [EM CONFIG] menu.
The created backup file is stored in the top directory (folder) of the USB memory.
The file name will be in the following format:
backupem-xxx_xxx_xxx_xxx_-YYMMDD-HHMMSS.tgz
xxx_xxx_xxx_xxx. IP address of the configuration file‟s collection target EM (active EM)
YYMMDD-HHMMSS Creation date and time of the configuration file
