Diagnosis menu
Performs diagnosis of fans installed on the Blade Enclosure unit.
If you select [7:Diagnosis] on the main menu, the below sub menu of log collection appears.
Select [1:FAN] to show the fan diagnosis boot confirmation.
Press [→] or [←] button to move cursor horizontally to switch selection between “Y” and “N”.
To perform fan diagnosis, put the cursor on “Y” and press the [Enter] button.
To cancel update, put the cursor on “N” and press the [Enter] button. The screen goes back to [EM
Firmware Sub] menu without changing the setting.
If the fan diagnosis is already running at [1:FAN], the below message is displayed.
While performing the fan diagnosis, the below is displayed. “>“ moves toward the right-hand side as
the diagnosis progresses.
When the diagnosis is complete, the result is shown.
When normally completed:
When errors found on FAN 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5:
When errors found on FAN 1, 2, 5, 7 and 10:
When errors found on FAN 5 and later.
(The below example shows when there is error on all 10 fans.)
TIPS:
When the above error message is displayed, press any button to go back to the diagnosis menu.
IMPORTANT:
Follow the User‟s Guide of the Blade Enclosure unit and replace the pertaining fan unit when there is
a “FAN Error” message displayed.
