The screen is sheared or not displayed when switching KVM:
Is the resolution correct?
→ Check the setting for resolution of the display unit or the CPU blade. Refer to
the User‟s Guide of the CPU blade or the display unit for details.
Is the synchronization normal?
→ Check synchronization of display unit.
Refer to the User‟s Guide provided with the display unit.
Is the display unit applicable to NEC Express server?
→ Use the display unit applicable to NEC Express server.
Is the KVM connected with the CPU blade you are going to operate?
→ Check if the KVM is connected with the proper CPU blade using
the SIGMABLADE monitor or OSD menu.
Is the power of the CPU blade connecting to the KVM?
→ Power on the CPU blade.
Pressing the hot key does not activate the OSD menu mode or OSD simple mode:
Is the hot key disabled?
→ When you failed to activate the OSD menu mode, enable the host key using the OSD
Setup feature of the SIGMABLADE monitor.
Is the keyboard connected to the keyboard connector on the Blade Enclosure?
→ Check the connection.
KVM cannot be switched over in OSD simple mode:
Did you press the proper key?
→ Press one of the keys between <1> to <O>, <Q>, <W>, <E>, <R>, <T>, <Y> (the key row
under the keys 1 to 6).
→ When using a numeric keyboard, enable (turn on) the Num Lock feature, then press one of the
keys between <1> to <O>, <Q>, <W>, <E>, <R>, <T>, <Y> (the key row under the keys 1 to 6).
Cannot enter the desired character from the keyboard:
Is the proper keyboard selected?
→ Select a proper keyboard in OSD menu mode or OSD Setup menu of the SIGMABLADE
monitor.
Nothing is displayed on screen
Is the console powered on?
→ Confirm that power plug is connected properly.
Is the screen suspended?
→ Confirm that software suspends the screen or not. Move a mouse or press shift key.
Is brightness of the screen proper?
→ Adjust the brightness.
Is the console connected LAN connector properly?
→ Check connection, if the console was LAN console.
