You can change the “Administrator” password back to the initial one via a serial port connection with
the following steps (use this feature only if you forget the Administrator password).
1. Confirm that EM card id powered on.
TIPS:
Remove the stand-by EM when your configuration has EM redundancy.
2. Connect a serial cable to the front of the active EM card.
3. Reset (or reboot) the EM card. Press the RESET switch down or execute “RESTART EM”
command.
4. If u-boot prompt (em>) appears, press the <Return> key to stop.
5. Enter the following u-boot prompt:
em> setenv password-reset
em> setenv password-reset y
em> saveenv
Saving Environment to EEPROM...
em> boot

(Skip)
TIPS:
- Clear or reset the "password-reset" at first "setenv password-reset".
- When next "setenv password-reset y" is executed properly, no error message is displayed. And
prompt "em>" of u-boot will be displayed.
6. After EM firmware starts, password of administrator will be changed to factory settings.
The configuration made at step 6 will be automatically deleted.
TIPS:
Install the EM card of stand-by to the original location that was removed previous step, if necessary.
The operating is now completed.
