7. Maintenance
To replace the lters:
Fourltersarepackagedwiththereplacementlamp,NP43LP.
Coasetexturespongelter:Largeandsmallsizes(attachedtothelterunit)
Finetexturespongelter:Largeandsmallsizes(attachedtotheltercover)
TheltersuppliedwithNP16LPisdifferedfromones’materialsuppliedwithNP43LPandthatmaterialisnon-woven
material.
Forreadingthelterreplacementprocedures,replacethewords“ne-texturespongeandcoarse-texturesponge”
with“accordionsoftandhoneycombhard”respectively.
NOTE:
• Replaceallfourltersatthesametime.
• Beforereplacingthelters,wipeoffdustanddirtfromtheprojectorcabinet.
• Theprojectorisprecisionequipment.Keepoutdustanddirtduringlterreplacement.
• Donotwashthelterswithsoapandwater.Soapandwaterwilldamagetheltermembrane.
• Putltersintoplace.Incorrectattachmentofaltermaycausedustanddirttogetintotheinsideoftheprojector.
TIP:
Whilethematerialofltersattachedtotheprojectoratthetimeofpurchaseisdifferentfromthematerialofltersincludedwiththe
optionallamp,thereisnodifferenceinperformancebetweenthesetwotypes.
Beforereplacingthelters,replacethelamp.(→page103)
1. Push the catch to release the lter unit and pull it out.
2. Detach the lter cover from the lter unit.
The lter cover is xed at six separate mounting points.
Bow the lter cover by pushing it slightly until it releases.

3. Replace the four (4) lters
1. Remove the lters, and then clean the lter unit and the lter
cover.
