Fire and Shock Precautions
• Ensurethatthereissufcientventilationandthatventsareunobstructedtopreventthebuild-upofheatinside
yourprojector.Allowatleast4inches(10cm)ofspacebetweenyourprojectorandawall.
• Donottrytotouchtheexhaustventonthefrontsideasitcanbecomeheatedwhiletheprojectoristurnedonand
immediatelyaftertheprojectoristurnedoff.
• Preventforeignobjectssuchaspaperclipsandbitsofpaperfromfallingintoyourprojector.Donotattemptto
retrieveanyobjectsthatmightfallintoyourprojector.Donotinsertanymetalobjectssuchasawireorscrewdriver
intoyourprojector.Ifsomethingshouldfallintoyourprojector,disconnectitimmediatelyandhavetheobject
removedbyaqualiedservicepersonnel.
• Donotplaceanyobjectsontopoftheprojector.
• Donottouchthepowerplugduringathunderstorm.Doingsocancauseelectricalshockorre.
• Theprojectorisdesignedtooperateonapowersupplyof100-240VAC50/60Hz.Ensurethatyourpowersupply
tsthisrequirementbeforeattemptingtouseyourprojector.
• Donotlookintothelenswhiletheprojectorison.Seriousdamagetoyoureyescouldresult.
• Keepanyitemssuchasmagnifyingglassoutofthelightpathoftheprojector.Thelightbeingprojectedfromthe
lensisextensive,thereforeanykindofabnormalobjectsthatcanredirectlightcomingoutofthelens,cancause
unpredictableoutcomesuchasreorinjurytotheeyes.
• Donotplaceanyobjects,whichareeasilyaffectedbyheat,infrontofaprojectorexhaustvent.
 Doingsocouldleadtotheobjectmeltingorgettingyourhandsburnedfromtheheatthatisemittedfromthe
exhaust.
• Handlethepowercordcarefully.Adamagedorfrayedpowercordcancauseelectricshockorre.
- Donotuseanypowercordsthanthesuppliedone.
- Donotbendortugthepowercordexcessively.
- Donotplacethepowercordundertheprojector,oranyheavyobject.
- Donotcoverthepowercordwithothersoftmaterialssuchasrugs.
- Donotheatthepowercord.
- Donothandlethepowerplugwithwethands.
• Turnofftheprojector,unplugthepowercordandhavetheprojectorservicedbyaqualiedservicepersonnel
underthefollowingconditions:
- Whenthepowercordorplugisdamagedorfrayed.
- Ifliquidhasbeenspilledintotheprojector,orifithasbeenexposedtorainorwater.

Place the projector in a horizontal position
Thetiltangleoftheprojectorshouldnotexceed5degrees,norshouldtheprojectorbeinstalledinanywayotherthan
thedesktopandceilingmount,otherwiselamplifecoulddecreasedramatically.
