Printer Messages
The NEC 1765 software displays several printer
messages. The following table lists those messages and
their meanings.

Message Printer Status
Idle The printer is operating normally and data receipt and printing are possible.
Off line The printer is not connected, the power is off, the printer is not connected correctly, or the
printer has been removed from Online status.
Cover Open The cover of the unit is open.
Paper empty (Cassette 1)
Paper empty (Cassette 2)
Paper empty (Cassette 3)
Warming Up The printer is warming up.
Busy The printer is busy.
Processing The printer is processing a print request.
Printing The printer is printing.
Engine Failure There is a problem with the printer engine.
Controller Failure There is a problem with the printer controller.
Not Responding The printer is not responding.
Searching The utility is searching for printers.
