en ( Safety instructions This appliance complies with the relevant safety regulations for electrical appliances and is fitted with noise suppression. The refrigeration circuit has been checked for leaks. Ø Have the appliance repaired by the manufacturer, Customer service or a similarly qualified person only. Ø Use original parts supplied by the manu facturer only. The manufacturer guarantees that these parts satisfy the safety requirements.
en Avoiding placing children and vulnerable people at risk At risk are: Ø Children, Ø People who have limited physical, mental or sensory abilities, Ø People who have inadequate knowledge concerning safe operation of the appliance. Measures: Ø Ensure that children and vulnerable people have understood the hazards. Ø Children or vulnerable people must be supervised by a responsible person when using the appliance. Ø Only children from 8 years and above may use the appliance.
en Scope of delivery Installing the appliance After unpacking all parts, check for any damage in transit. If you have any complaints, please contact the dealer from whom you purchased the appliance or our Customer service.
en Observe ambient temperature and ventilation Ambient temperature The climate class can be found on the rating plate. The climate class indicates within which ambient temperat ures the appliance can be operated. The rating plate is located in the refrigerator compartment at the right side.
en Aligning the appliance Aligning the doors To ensure that the appliance functions correctly, it must be set level with a spirit level. Ø For sufficient leveling and air circulating in the lower rear section of the appliance, the bottom feet may need to be adjusted. Ø To allow the doors to selfclose, tilt back the top backwards at about 15 mm or 0.5° by turning the adjustable feet. Ø Whenever you want to move the appliance, remember to turn the feet back up, so that the appliance can roll freely.
en Connecting the appliance Have a technician install and connect the appliance according to the enclosed installation instructions. Do not remove the transportation protection devices from the shelves and storage compartments until the appliance has been installed. Always connect the water before the power. Apart from statutory national regulations, you should stick to the connection terms relating to the local electricity company.
en Installing the water hose Use the supplied connection hose for installation. 1. Unpack the bag containing installation materials and take out the two pads. 2. Install the two pads to the hose nuts. water filter nut water filter Electrical connection : Warning – Risk of electric shock! If the length of the mains cable is inadequate, never use multiple sockets or extension leads. Instead, please contact Customer service for alternatives.
en Getting to know your appliance Note: Due to unceasing modification of our products your appliance may be slightly different from this Instruction manual but its functions and using methods remain the same.

en Switching on the appliance Setting the temperature When the appliance is powered on, the backlighting of the displays on the control panel starts working. All displays will light up for 3 seconds and a buzzer sounds. If no buttons have been pressed and the doors are closed, the backlighting will turn off after 60 seconds. The preset temperatures are reached after several hours. Do not put any food in the appliance before hand.
en Freezer compartment Freezing fresh food Use the freezer compartment Ø to store deep-frozen food, Ø to make ice cubes, Ø to freeze food. Freeze fresh and undamaged food only. To retain the best possible nutritional value, flavour and colour, vegetables should be blanched before freezing. Aubergines, peppers, zucchini and asparagus do not require blanching. Caution! Ensure that bottles are not left in the freezer for longer than needed as freezing may cause the bottle to break.
en Shelf life of frozen food Switching on super freezing Storage duration depends on the type of food. At a temperature of -18 °C: Ø Fish, sausage, ready meals and cakes and pastries: up to 6 months Ø Cheese, poultry and meat: up to 8 months Ø Vegetables and fruit: up to 12 months Press the “Freezer / Super 3 sec” button for 3 seconds to switch on “super freezing”. Display Ê (super freeze) goes on and the freezer compartment temperature display shows “-24 °C”.
en Refrigerator compartment The refrigerator compartment is the ideal storage location for meat, sausage, fish, dairy products, eggs, ready meals and pastries. Storing food Ø Store fresh, undamaged food. The quality and freshness will then be retained for longer. Ø In the case of ready-made products and bottled goods, observe the best-before date or use-by date specified by the manufacturer. Ø To retain aroma, colour and freshness, pack or cover food well before placing in the appliance.
en Ice and water dispenser The following can be dispensed as required: Ø cooled water Ø cubed ice Ø crushed ice You can choose the type of ice or water by touching the (cubed ice), (crushed ice) or (water) button. : Warning Ø Do not use fragile receptacles for dispensing water or ice – risk of injury from broken glass! Ø Keep fingers clear of the discharge opening.
en Variable interior design The bottle rack (option) is for storing bottled wine and drinks. Note: Please use gently when you remove the bottles. The refrigerator compartment is provided with 5 glass shelves and several different door racks, which are suitable for the storage of eggs, canned liquid, bottled drinks and packed food. They can be placed at different heights according to your needs. Before removing the door racks please remove all food items to avoid spillage.
en Holiday mode If you are going away for a long period of time, “holiday” mode will be your best choice. It switches the temperature of the refrigerator compartment to 15 °C and the temperature of the freezer compartment to -18 °C to minimize the energy consumption. Switching off and disconnecting the appliance Switching off the appliance Pull out mains plug or switch off fuse. Important: Do not store any food in the fridge during this time. Refrigerating unit switches off.
en Defrosting Cleaning the appliance Freezer compartment : Warning The fully automatic NoFrost system ensures that the freezer compartment remains free of ice. Defrosting is no longer required. Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner! Caution! Ø Do not use abrasive, chloride or acidic cleaning agents or solvents. Refrigerator compartment Ø Do not use scouring or abrasive sponges. The metallic surfaces could corrode. Defrosting is actuated automatically.
en Interior fittings Handling the ice bucket To clean the equipment, all variable parts of the appliance can be taken out (~ chapter “Variable interior design”). Removing the ice bucket For cleaning purposes or if you don't need ice, the ice bucket can be removed. Note: To take out and clean the containers, open the doors fully beyond 90°. Removing container 1. 2. 2. 1. Hold at the handle and lift up the ice bucket. 2. Pull out the ice bucket slowly to prevent damage.
en Emptying and cleaning the ice bucket The ice bucket may need to be emptied, if the ice cubes stick together or if ice cubes have not been dis pensed for a prolonged period or when the appliance is powered off. To clean the ice bucket, wash with a mild detergent, rinse well and dry thoroughly. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners or solvents. Replacing the ice bucket A 3. 2. 2. B 2. Hold at the handle and push up the ice bucket.
en Replacing the water filter In general, you should replace the water filter every 6 months to ensure the highest possible water quality. After the appliance has dispensed about 4000 liters of water (usual consumption within 6 months), the water filter display Á blinks, and the buzzer sounds 3 times, to remind you that you need to replace the water filter. Note: Ø If no water is dispensed or it is dispensed slowly, the water filter may be clogged and may need to be replaced.
en Light (LED) Operating noises Your appliance features a maintenance-free LED light. These lights may be repaired by Customer service or authorised technicians only. Quite normal noises Tips for saving energy Ø Install the appliance in a dry, well ventilated room! Ø Ø Ø Ø Ø Ø Ø The appliance should not be installed in direct sun light or near a heat source (e.g. radiator, cooker). If required, use an insulating plate. Do not block the ventilation openings in the appliance.
en Eliminating minor faults yourself Before you call Customer service: Please check whether you can eliminate the fault your self based on the following information. Customer service will charge you for advice even if the appliance is still under guarantee! Fault Possible cause Remedial action Appliance is not working Mains plug has not been inserted properly. Check whether the power cord is plugged into the power outlet properly. The fuse has been switched off or is defective.
en Fault Possible cause Remedial action Water drips on the floor Water pan at the rear bottom of the appliance not properly levelled or draining spout not properly positioned to the pan or spout blocked. Water connection is not tight. Ice in the ice bucket is melt to water, caused by power failure. Check water pan and draining spout at the rear. Check water connection and tighten the nuts. Check ice bucket and empty it, if necessary.
