Installation & Assembly

Overview
We hope you love your new single cup brewer! Please review the maintenance and troubleshooting tips
below to prolong its life. Requirements will vary across brands, so consult your user manual for detailed
care instructions specific to your single cup brewer. We recommend keeping a copy of both instructions for
future reference.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Regularly clean the components of your brewer in the dishwasher or by hand as detailed below. When hand-
washing, use a damp, soapy, non-abrasive cloth.
Exterior Components: Wash by hand. Do not submerge in water or other liquids.
Drip Tray: Clean in dishwasher or by hand.
Water Reservoir/Reservoir Lid: Wash by hand. Please consult your owner’s manual to see if the parts are
safe for the top rack of the dishwasher.
Needles: Check to see if there are any coee grinds clogging the needle. If so, use a paper clip or
toothbrush to clean it.
Pod Holder: Soak in hot water for five minutes, then rinse in warm water.
Descaling
Descale your brewer every three to six months, depending on the usage. Calcium deposits may build up over
time and can hinder your brewer’s performance.
1. Refer to your user manual: This will help you determine which solution best suits your brewer. Some units
recommend the manufacturer’s solution, while others recommend a 50/50 mixture of water and vinegar.
2. Pour the solution into an empty water reservoir: Place a large mug on the drip tray and run a brewing
cycle on the largest brew size. Empty the mug upon completion of the cycle. Repeat this process at least
two more times. Continue until the reservoir is almost empty.
3. Let your brewer sit: Let the remaining solution sit in the reservoir for a period of time between 30 minutes
and three hours. Check your user manual for a more exact time frame.
4. Repeat the process detailed above with fresh water. It will take at least 12 brews on the largest brew size
to completely rinse it. You may have to refill the reservoir at least once during this process.
