Static routes can bee used to facilitate communication betweeen devices on differennt networks and can be used as a meanss of configuring a fixed path selection of routers across computer networks in the abssence of communication between routers of the network topoloogy. RIP RIP (Routing Inform mation Protocol) is useed for advertising rouutes to other routers. Thus all the routes inn the router’s routing table will be advertissed to other nearby roouters. For example, the route for the router’ss Ethernet subnet could be advertised to a Router on the PPP interface side so thaat a Router on this network will know how tto route to a device on o the router’s Ethernnet subnet.
