WhenyouinserttheAirCardExpressCard,thefollowing

shouldoccur:

• Ifsoundeffectsare enabled,thePCbeeps.

• TheSafelyRemoveHardwareiconappearsinthesystem

tray,ifitisnotalreadydisplayedforanothercard,(and

unlessthefeaturehasbeendisabled).

• Watcherlaunches(unlesstheautolaunchfeature

hasbeen

disabled).

TheAirCardExpressCardispoweredassoonasyouinsertit.

Removing the AirCard ExpressCard

ToremovetheAirCardExpressCard:

1. CloseWatcherifitisopen.

2. ClicktheSafelyRemoveHardwareiconinthesystemtray

todisplaytheoptiontostopthecard.

3. Clicktheentryfor“

NEC PCI to USB Open Host Controller”or

“

Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller“.

4. Ifadialogboxappearsnotifyingyouthatitissafeto

removethecard,click

OK.

5. UsetheejectortoremovetheAirCardExpressCardfrom

theslot.Pullthecardoutoftheslotbygrippingbothsides

ofthecardandpullingthecardstraightout.
