Indicates
Off The card has no power. The card is not completely inserted into the computer, or the
computer is in suspend mode (which powers down the card), or you have powered off
the card.
Blue, not blinking The card has power and is working properly.
Blue, blinking
The card’s firmware is being updated. Do not remove the card.
Amber, blinking The card is searching for service.
Amber, not blinking An error has occurred. Eject the card and reinsert it.
Off No service is available.
Amber, blinking
NationalAccess service is detected. Ready to connect to the network.
Amber, not blinking
The card is connected to the NationalAccess network, and can send or receive data.
Blue, blinking
BroadbandAccess service is detected. Ready to connect to the network.
Blue, not blinking
The card is connected to the BroadbandAccess network, and can send or receive
data.
Care of Your AirCard 597E ExpressCard
Verizon Wireless recommends the following guidelines in handling your ExpressCard:
Do not apply adhesive labels to the ExpressCard.
The ExpressCard should fit easily into your ExpressCard slot. Forcing the ExpressCard into a slot may
damage connector pins.
When inserting or removing your ExpressCard, always grip it by the sides (see the drawings below).
Never insert or remove the ExpressCard while holding the antenna, as this action may damage the
ExpressCard.
Protect the ExpressCard from liquids, dust, and excessive heat.
When storing or transporting your computer, remove the ExpressCard.
When not installed in your computer, store the ExpressCard in a safe place.
Do not use the ExpressCard with a handheld computer; it is designed only for notebook computers
running Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Mac OS X.
