Port. The statistics for the WAN (Internet) and LAN (Ethernet) ports. For each port, the
screen displays:
- Status. The link status of the port.
- TxPkts. The number of packets transmitted on this port since reset or manual clear.
- RxPkts. The number of packets received on this port since reset or manual clear.
- Collisions. The number of collisions on this port since reset or manual clear.
- Tx B/s. The current transmission (outbound) bandwidth used on the WAN and LAN
ports.
- Rx B/s. The current reception (inbound) bandwidth used on the WAN and LAN ports.
- Up Time. The time elapsed since this port acquired the link.
ADSL Link Downstream or Upstream. The statistics for the upstream and downstream
link. These statistics are of interest to your technical support representative if you have
problems obtaining or maintaining a connection.
Connection Speed. Typically, the downstream speed is faster than the upstream speed.
Line Attenuation. The line attenuation increases the farther you are physically located
from your ISP’s facilities.
Noise Margin. The signal-to-noise ratio, which is a measure of the quality of the signal on
the line.
Poll Interval. The interval at which the statistics are updated in this screen. To change
the polling frequency, enter a time in seconds in the Poll Interval field and click Set
Interval. To stop the polling entirely, click Stop.
Connection Status Button
To view the Internet connection status:
1. Select ADVANCED Home or select Administration > Router Status.
2. In the Internet Port pane, click the Connection Status button.
The following information displays:
IP Address. The IP address that is assigned to the modem router.
Subnet Mask. The subnet mask that is assigned to the modem router.
