Configure the IPv6 PIM Bootstrap Router Candidate
Settings
To configure the IPv6 PIM BSR Candidate settings:
1. Launch a web browser
.
2. In the address field of your web browser
, enter the IP address of the switch.
The login window opens.
3. Enter admin as the user name, enter your local device password,
and click the Login
button.
The first time that you log in, no password is required. However, you then must specify a
local device password to use each subsequent time that you log in.
The System Information page displays.
4. Select Routing> IPv6 Multicast > IPv6 PIM > BSR Candidate Configuration.
5. From the list of interfaces, select the Interface.
6. Enter the C-BSR Hash Mask Length to be advertised in bootstrap messages.
This hash mask length is used in the hash algorithm for selecting the RP for a particular
group.
The valid values are from 0 to 128. The default value is 126.
7. In the Priority field, enter the priority of the C-BSR.
8. Enter the Advertisement Interval value of the C-BSR in seconds.
The default value is 60.
To remove the configured Hash Mask Length, and Priority values and restore them to the
default values, click the Delete button.
9. Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.
