Configure IPv6 Source Guard Interface Settings
To configure IPv6 source guard Interface settings:
1. Launch a web browser
.
2. In the address field of your web browser
, enter the IP address of the switch.
The login window opens.
3. Enter admin as the user name, enter your local device password,
and click the Login
button.
The first time that you log in, no password is required. However, you then must specify a
local device password to use each subsequent time that you log in.
The System Information page displays.
4. Select Security > Control > IPv6 Source Guard > Interface Configuration.
5. Use one of the following methods to select an interface:
In the Go To Interface field, enter the interface in the unit/slot/port format and click on
the Go button.
Next to the Interface column, select the check box for the port that you want to
configure, select multiple check boxes to apply the same setting to all selected
interfaces, or select the check box in the table heading to apply the same settings to
all interfaces.
6. Use the IPv6SG Mode menu to enable or disable validation of sender IPv6 address on this
interface.
If IPv6SG is enabled, packets are not forwarded if the sender IPv6 address is not in the
DHCP snooping binding database.
The factory default is Disable.
IP Address Displays valid IP address for the binding entry.
Filter Type Filter type used on the interface. One is source IP address filter type,
and the other is source IP address and MAC address filter type.
