This resets all statistics for the trap logs to the default values.
The following table describes the Trap Log information displayed on the page.
View and Clear the Event Log
You can view and clear the event log, which contains error messages from the system. The
event log is not cleared on a system reset.
To view and clear the event log:
1. Launch a web browser
.
2. In the address field of your web browser
, enter the IP address of the switch.
The login window opens.
3. Enter admin as the user name, enter your local device password,
and click the Login
button.
The first time that you log in, no password is required. However, you then must specify a
local device password to use each subsequent time that you log in.
The System Information page displays.
4. Select Monitoring > Logs > Event Logs.

Field Description
Number of Traps Since Last
Reset
The number of traps that occurred since the switch last rebooted.
Trap Log Capacity The maximum number of traps stored in the log. If the number of traps exceeds
the capacity
, the entries overwrite the oldest entries.
Number of Traps since log
last viewed
The number of traps that occurred since the traps were last displayed.
Displaying the traps by any method (terminal interface display
, web display,
upload file from switch, and so on) causes this counter to be cleared to 0.
Log The sequence number of this trap.
System Up Time The time when this trap occurred, expressed in days, hours, minutes and
seconds, since the last reboot of the switch.
Trap Information identifying the trap.
