2. Type your router’s WAN IP address into your browser’s address or location field followed by
a colon (:) and the custom port number.
For example, if your external address is 134.177.0.123 and you use port number 8080,
enter http://134.177.0.123:8080 in your browser.
Configure the LEDs
You can turn the Internet, WiFi, USB 3.0 port, and USB 2.0 port LEDs on the front panel of
the router on or off. You can also enable or disable blinking on the LEDs.
Note: The Power LED stays lit even if you turn off the LEDs or disable
blinking.
Turn the LEDs Off Using NETGEAR genie
You can turn the LEDs on the front panel of the router off using NETGEAR genie. You can
also use the LED On/Off switch on the rear panel to turn the LEDs on or off. For more
information, see
Turn the LEDs On or Off Using the LED On/Off Switch on page 12.
Note: The Power LED stays lit even if you turn off the LEDs.
To turn off the LEDs using NETGEAR genie:
1. Launch a web browser from a computer or wireless device that is connected to the
network.
2. Type http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com.
A login screen displays.
3. Enter the router user name and password.
The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and
password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home screen displays.
4. Select ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > LED Control Settings.
The LED Control Settings screen displays.
5. Select the Turn off all LEDs except Power LED radio button.
6. Click the Apply button.
Your changes are saved.
