5. Click the Balance button.
A window opens.
6. Click the Yes button in the pop-up window.
The volume information updates to show the status of the balance operation, and
the ReadyNAS system issues an alert and a log entry when the balance operation
starts and when the operation completes.
Trim a Volume
You can discard all unused blocks in a filesystem. This can improve the performance of
SSD drives.
To trim a volume:
1. Log in to the ReadyNAS system.
2. Select System > Volumes.
3. Select the volume.
4. Click the volume gear icon.
