The following table describes the nonconfigurable fields on the Service Port Configuration
page.
Configure the IPv6 Service Port
You can configure IPv6 network information on the service port. The service port is a
dedicated Ethernet port for out-of-band management of the device. Traffic on this port is
segregated from operational network traffic on the switch ports and cannot be switched or
routed to the operational network.
To configure the IPv6 service port:
1. Launch a web browser

2. In the address field of your web browser
, enter the IP address of the switch.
The login window opens.
3. Enter admin as the user name, enter your local device password,
and click the Login
button.
The first time that you log in, no password is required. However, you then must specify a
local device password to use each subsequent time that you log in.
The System Information page displays.
4. Select System > Management > Management Interfaces > IPv6 Service Port
Configuration.

Field Description
Burned-in MAC Address The burned-in MAC address used for out-of-band connectivity.
Interface Status Indicates whether the link status is up or down.
