5 .3 Check ing PCs I P and Connect ion w it h t he AP
After configuring the TCP/ I P prot ocol, use the ping com m and t o verify if t he
com puter can com m unicate wit h the AP. To execut e the ping com m and, open
the DOS window and PI NG t he I P address of the Wireless Access Point at the
DOS prom pt:
For Windows 98/ Me: Start - > Run. Type com m an d and click OK.
For Windows 2000/ XP: Start -> Run. Type cm d and click OK.
At t he DOS prom pt, t ype the following com m and:
