I f you change t he privat e I P address and apply t he changes, t he PC from
which you configure t he AP will lose the com m unicat ion t o t he AP. To reconnect ,
you will need to renew t he I P address of the PC or change to an I P address
com patible wit h the new LAN port I P address.
6 .4 W ir eless Set t ings
The Wireless Access Point im plem ents Access Point capability, which connects
wireless clients to a wired LAN. I t allows wireless st at ions to access net work
resources and share t he broadband I nt ernet connection.
6 .4 .1 Ba sic W ire less Se t t ings
The basic set tings for wireless networking are set on t his screen.

Ra dio Band: The default setting is m ixed m ode [ 802.11B/ G] . I f you do not
know or have both 11g and 11b devices in your net work, t hen keep t he
default in m ixed m ode. From the drop-down m anual, you can select
802.11G if you have only 11G card. I f you have only 802.11 B card, then
select 802.11B.
Ra dio Mode: The Route has 4 m odes: AP, Client , WDS, AP+ WDS
Boost er M ode: Enabled t his m ode can enhance the t hroughput of data
transm ission.
SSI D: The SSI D is t he net work nam e shared am ong all point s in a wireless
net work. The SSI D m ust be identical for all devices in the wir eless net work.
