Share - ke ys: Authent icat ion is a process in which t he AP validat es whet her
the wireless client is qualified t o access the AP’s service. You m ust enable
WEP funct ion and define your WEP keys. The keys are used both t o
aut henticat e wireless clients and encrypt out going data.
 Au t o- Sele ct : I t can det ect Wireless Client aut henticat ion inform ation, and
aut om at ically choose Open-System or Share-Keys m ode t o com m unicate
with client. When use Aut o- Select m ode, you m ust setup WEP keys which
are used by aut henticat ion syst em .

W EP Lengt h: Select s 64- bit or 128-bit WEP encryption. Be sure t hat the
key lengt h sett ing in the AP shall be t he sam e as in wireless clients, or t he
com m unicat ion will not work.
 W EP M ode: You m ay select t o select ASCI I Charact ers or Hexadecim al
Digit s (in t he "A-F", " a-f" and "0- 9" range) t o be t he WEP Key.

Default Key: The Key selected here m ust m at ch the key select ed in the
client. For exam ple, if you select Key 1 here you have to select Key 1 for t he
client . The default is 1.

