Bea con I nt erva l: This value indicat es t he frequency int erval of t he beacon.
A beacon is a packet broadcast by t he wireless AP to keep the network
synchronized. A beacon includes the wireless LAN service area, a t im e
stam p, Delivery Traffic I ndicator Maps, and t he Traffic I ndicat or Message
( TI M) . The default value is 100.
RTS Th r eshold: This value should rem ain at it s default sett ing of 2,347.
Should you encount er inconsist ent dat a flow, only m inor m odificat ions are
recom m ended.
DTI M I nt erval: This value indicat es how oft en the Access Point sends out
a Delivery Traffic I ndicat ion Message ( DTI M) . Lower sett ings result in m ore
efficient net working, while prevent ing your PC from dropping into power
saving sleep m ode. Higher sett ings allow your PC t o ent er sleep m ode, t hus
saving power, but interferes with wireless transm issions.
Tra nsm it Rat e : The Transm it Rat e is the dat a packet s lim it at ion t his
wireless AP can transm it . The wireless AP will use the highest possible
selected transm ission rate to transm it t he data packet s. The default value is
Auto”.
Pre am ble Type : I t defines the length of CRC block in the fram es during
the wireless Com m unicat ion. "Short Pream ble" is suitable for heavy t raffic
wireless net work. " Long Pream ble" provides m uch com m unication
reliability
