Ⅰ: Troubleshoot ing
1 . I ca nnot access t he W eb- based Con figura t ion Ut ilit y from t he
Et hernet com put er used t o configure t he rout er .
z Check t hat t he LAN LED is on. I f t he LED is not on, verify t hat t he cable for
the LAN connection is firm ly connect ed.
z Check whet her t he com put er resides on t he sam e subnet wit h t he rout er’s
LAN I P address.
z I f t he com put er act s as a DHCP client , check whet her t he com put er has
been assigned an I P address from t he DHCP server. I f not , you will need t o
renew t he I P address.
z Use t he ping com m and t o ping the rout er’s LAN I P address t o verify t he
connection.
z Make sure your browser is not configured t o use a proxy server.
z Check that t he I P address you ent ered is correct. I f the rout er’s LAN I P
address has been changed, you should ent er t he reassigned I P address
inst ead.
2 . I forge t Pa ssw ord ( Re se t t h e Rout er w it hout Login)
z Plug out t he power of t he Rout er.
z Use a pencil to press and hold the default but t on on t he back panel of t he
Rout er. Plug in t he power of t he Rout er.
z Press and hold t he default but t on wait for a few seconds until t he CPU LED
indicat or st ays green.
z Reboot t he AP.
z Aft er t he above those st eps, t he m anufacture’s param et ers w ill be rest ored
in t he Rout er. The default password is N/ A.
3 . I ha ve som e problem s rela t ed t o Conn ect ion w it h Cable
Mode m ple ase follow t he follow ing st eps t o check t he problem s:
z Check whet her t he DSL m odem works well or t he signal is st able. Norm ally
there will be som e indicator light s on t he m odem , users can check whet her
the signal is ok or t he m odem works well from t hose light s. I f not , please
cont act t he I SP.
z Check the front panel of t he Rout er, t here are also som e indicat or lights
there. When t he physical connect ion is correct , t he Power light and t he CPU
