ACTA. On the exterior of the cabinet of this equipment is a label that contains, among other
information, the FCC Registration Number and Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) for this

mustbeprovidedtothetelephonecompany.
FCCcomplianttelephonecordandmodularplugisprovidedwiththisequipment.This
equipmentisdesignedtobeconnectedtothetelephonenetworkorpremiseswiringusinga
compatiblemodularjackthatisPart68compliant.SeeInstallationInstructionsfordetails.The
RENisusedtodetermineth
equantityofdevicesthatmaybeconnectedtothetelephoneline.
ExcessiveRENsonthetelephonelinemayresultinthedevicesnotringinginresponsetoan
incomingcall.Typically,thesumofRENsshouldnotexceedfive(5.0).Tobecertainofthe
numberofdevicesthatmaybeconnecte
dtoaline(asdeterminedbythetotalRENs)contactthe
localtelephonecompany.Ifthisequipmentcausesharmtothetelephonenetwork,the
telephonecompanywillnotifyyouinadvancethattemporarydiscontinuanceofservicemaybe
required.Butifadvancenoti
ceisn’tpractical,thetelephonecompanywillnotifythecustomeras
soonaspossible.Also,youwillbeadvisedofyourrighttofileacomplaintwiththeFCCifyou
believeitisnecessary.Thetelephonecompanymaymakechangestoitsfacilities,equipment,
operationsorproceduresthatcouldaffecttheoperationoftheequip
ment.Ifthishappens,the
telephonecompanywillprovideadvancenoticesoyoucanmakethenecessarymodificationsto
