PAIRING A NEW DEVICE OVER
BLUETOOTH®
In order to wirelessly transfer your eBooks to your Kobo eReader, you will need to “pair” your eReader with
your BlackBerry smartphone. Pairing enables the eReader and smartphone to securely communicate.
To pair device:
Using your BlackBerry, download the latest Kobo Mobile Application from
http://koboBooks.com/blackberry/.

Install the Kobo Application for BlackBerry onto your phone.2.
Open the Kobo application on your BlackBerry. Create an account, or sign in using an existing Kobo
account.

On your BlackBerry, go to the “MORE” section in the application and select “Sync with Kobo eReader”.4.
Turn on your Kobo eReader.5.
Click the “MENU” button on the left-hand side and select the “Sync” option.6.
Follow the onscreen instructions on your eReader to pair your eReader with your BlackBerry.7.
On your BlackBerry, click “PAIR MY DEVICE NOW”.8.
Only eBooks that have been marked “Available Offline” in your BlackBerry will be transferred automatically
to your eReader. To see if your eBook is offline, go to your I’m Reading list.
NOTE: Downloading of the Kobo mobile application and Offline Reading requires wireless data.
