BLUETOOTH®: PAIRING ANOTHER DEVICE
The “Bluetooth Device Summary” shows the current BlackBerry smartphone the eReader was paired with.
Pairing enables the eReader and smartphone to securely communicate.
The Kobo eReader can only be paired to one BlackBerry device at a time. Pairing a new device will erase all
Kobo purchased items and replace it with locally stored items from the new phone.
To pair another device:
Using your BlackBerry, download the latest Kobo Mobile Application from
http://koboBooks.com/blackberry/.

Install the application.2.
Start the application and create an account, or sign in using an existing Kobo account.3.
Go to the “Sync with Kobo eReader” item in the “MORE” section of the application.4.
On your Kobo eReader, click the “MENU” button on the left-hand side and go to “SETTINGS”.5.
Navigate to the “Bluetooth Settings” and select “PAIR ANOTHER DEVICE”. You will be required to
confirm this action.

On your BlackBerry, click “PAIR MY DEVICE NOW” and follow the on screen prompts.7.
Any eBooks that have been marked for “Offline Reading” in your BlackBerry will be transferred
automatically to your eReader.

NOTE: Downloading of the Kobo mobile application and Offline Reading requires wireless data.
